Portuguese Islands Travel Guide

While technically a part of the Portuguese Republic, these two autonomous regions find themselves so remote from continental Portugal that it is hard to consider them as the same thing. It is interesting to note that despite their isolation from mainland Portugal and its administrations, the population of these islands have maintained their highly regarded Portuguese identities, with museums and other attractions exhibiting the entirety of Portugal as much as their regional histories.
